Jakob Kern (1884-1964) was a Swiss Jesuit theologian and spiritual director who significantly influenced Catholic thought in the twentieth century. Born in Switzerland, he entered the Society of Jesus and became a respected professor of theology, teaching at Gregorian University in Rome for many years.
